The Role: Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of Engineering, Manufacturing, and Asset Optimization solutions? AspenTech is seeking individuals to join our Product Quality Team as Software Quality Engineers. In this role, you will be instrumental in testing Aspen Products, ensuring their reliability and functionality. You'll have the opportunity to design and execute testing approaches, develop automation scripts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality best practices.

Your Impact:

• Design, build, and execute test automation for backend, UI, and API.
• Develop automated test scripts for non-functional system verification.
• Collaborate within CI/CD pipelines to configure and patch multiple test environments.
• Perform requirements analysis, create and execute test strategies and cases, troubleshoot issues, and report defects.
• Engage with cross-functional teams on status updates and problem-solving in an agile environment.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 0-3 years of work experience.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
• Understanding of manual and automated testing best practices.
• Strong desire to automate, monitor, and improve processes continuously.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with database technologies like SQL, Cassandra, MongoDB.
• Understanding of Configuration Management.
• Knowledge of automation tool building and test automation frameworks.
• System administration experience, particularly in Windows/Linux/UNIX Servers.
• Familiarity with server virtualization, especially VMWare and VSphere.
• General networking skills including Layer 2 & 3 switches, TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.
• Experience with source control systems like CVS, Subversion, Git, etc.
